I ( Binita) am sharing my experience. This journey started in 2021 when I faced a problem in getting my child's bicycle repaired, I had to keep the bicycle in my car, went to a shop which was very far from our house, dropped there and come back, Went back again after 2 hours to get the bicycle. In the whole process of putting the bicycle into the car twice and then taking it out of the car twice was quite a hectic and whole day job. Somehow I did it as the size of the bicycle was small but in case of bigger size bicycle it would be a big challenge. Being a working lady it was my bad experience but this incident has only encouraged me to start this business.
Bicycle is a need of every family nowadays, so like our car and bike, its regular service is also important, but in today's busy life, it is not an easy task for anyone to find time for bicycle service, so I started a bicycle service at home. Decided to do, pick-up/drop-off facilities etc.
The second problem that I identified is that unused bicycles are usually kept in dirty condition in the lobby or balcony for a long time and ultimately we sell it to the local scrap dealer at almost no cost as there is no organized forum. Apart from this, sometimes people do not want to invest much on a new bicycle for their growing children, so to solve these problem, we have started the facility of selling and buying old bicycles and exchanging the old bicycle for a new one.
Currently we are operating in Delhi/NCR as we have limited resources but to overcome this and provide similar service in other parts of India we are partnering with local service providers. Also opening 3-5 outlets in metropolitan cities by Dec 2024.
